The students in Mark Waters’s Honors Servant-Leader class at McMurry University have chosen Connecting Caring Communities to complete service hours this semester. The students are meeting with CCC staff to explore ways their talents, fields of study and areas of interest can be part of the work of community renewal. The five students are committing 28 hours of service each this semester.

The work of community renewal is dependent upon volunteers, and servant-leadership is a core principle to the CCC model. Like many local nonprofits, we rely heavily on college students to accomplish our goals. This new partnership with the Servant-Leader class is an exciting addition to our efforts this fall.
